🔍 Roofing guide
No surprises. Here’s exactly what to expect, step by step, from booking to written quote.
Booking a roof survey can feel like an unknown if you haven’t had one before — will someone try to sell you something you don’t need? How long does it take? Do you need to be in? Here’s exactly what to expect when you book with us.
If you’ve called or WhatsApped us about a specific problem, send a photo if you can — it helps us come prepared with the right materials for a same-visit repair where possible, rather than needing a second trip.
We’ll agree a time that works for you. You don’t need to clear anything or prepare the property — we bring our own access equipment.
Tiles, ridge and hip lines, valleys, flashings, chimney stacks and roofline — checked from ground level and, where access allows, from a ladder or tower.
For leaks, damp patches or condensation, we’ll ask to check the loft too — daylight, staining and ventilation are only properly assessed from inside.
We talk you through what we find, with no jargon and no pressure. Straightforward repairs can often be quoted — and sometimes completed — there and then.
Covering exactly what work is needed, the materials involved, and the price, with no hidden extras added later.
A typical residential roof survey takes 20–40 minutes, depending on roof size and complexity. If we’re also tracing a specific reported problem such as a leak, it may take a little longer.
For an external-only survey, not necessarily — though we’d always rather talk to you directly about what we find. If we need loft access, someone will need to be present, or you can leave the loft hatch accessible and we’ll call you afterwards to talk through what we saw.
Yes. The survey and the written quote that follows are free and come with no obligation to proceed. We’re confident enough in our pricing and our advice that we don’t need to charge for the privilege of giving it to you.
Call, WhatsApp, or send us a photo of the problem area and we’ll take it from there.
